Prairie Food Co-op Community Grocery

The Two Proposals for 101 S. Main in Lombard

Where We Are In The Process
Prairie Food Co-op is at a pivotal point in our development. You are probably aware that PFC is attached to two development bids at 101-109 S. Main St. in Lombard.

This is great news, but we are reserving our enthusiasm until the entire democratic process is followed through. We also realize that this is a time for us to practice two of the values that we hold dear: transparency and representation.

The Two Bids
We are excited about both plans and feel that each vision would be a great addition to downtown Lombard. However, this is our one chance to let our Village government know which of these our Owners prefer. We have included just a brief description of each concept. You can find out more about each concept at the Village of Lombard’s site page.

HOLLADAY
This first concept comes from Holladay Development Property and is titled Lilac Station.

Lilac Station will include 120 residential luxury apartment units designed to provide a variety of living spaces suitable for a broad spectrum of residents. This apartment building will sit on the north side of the development and Prairie Food Co-op will sit on the south side.

LUXICA
This concept comes from Luxica, LLC.

This concept will include a brewery, a family-friendly farm-fresh restaurant on the corner, and an open air market connecting Prairie Food Co-op with both of the businesses that can be used in a variety of ways including having kiosks, farmers markets, or workshops and classes.
